History

 

The Middleborough Veterans’ Outreach Center Inc. was founded in February of 2005,by Joseph and Margaret Thomas. Funding for the Veterans' Outreach Center was provided through personal funds, investment companies, donations from the community, and local businesses.

 

The concept for the Veterans' Outreach Center was created while assisting disabled Veterans' in need years prior to opening the Veterans' Outreach Center. The experiences incurred through their lives of assisting a Vietnam Veteran, and working with the Veterans Administration System gave them great insight of what many Veterans' were going through, and the types of services that still needed to be met.

 

Joseph, being a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp. believes it is both a privilege and an honor to provide service to the many men and women that have served their country.

 

Since the Veterans' Outreach Center opened, services have been provided to more than 5,000 Veterans, in 9 different communities.

 

The Middleborough Veteran's Outreach Center Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. Any, and all donations from private parties, foundations, sponsorships and corporations, are much needed, and greatly appreciated.      

 

The Middleborough Veterans' Outreach Center, Inc. is a contracted service provider for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, The Middleborough Veterans' Outreach Center, Inc. was successful in becoming the tenth Outreach center in the Commonwealth.
